BIOGRAPHY

David Coria. A disciple of leading figures in Spanish dance and flamenco, David Coria (Seville) has forged his own unique style where technical rigor coexists with a drive for exploration. After beginning his career with companies such as Aída Gómez's and his time with the Spanish National Ballet, he consolidated his position as a creator with shows that have toured internationally. His work has received critical and public acclaim—such as the Giraldillo Award for Best Show at the Seville Flamenco Biennial for ¡Fandango!—and has established him as a significant presence on the European stage. His dance performance Los bailes robados (The Stolen Dances) earned him the Talía Award for Best Male Dance Performer in 2024, and three Lorca Awards in 2026: Best Male Dance Performer, Best Choreography, and Best Show. Coria combines choreographic direction with teaching, appearances at international galas, and collaborations with musicians and playwrights, maintaining a creative methodology that prioritizes the body as a territory of friction between memory and the present. Within the genealogy of flamenco stagecraft, her work engages with tradition, pushing it towards new musicalities of movement, paying attention to the precision of the pulse, spatiality, and rhythmic dramaturgy.

Florencia Oz. Santiago, Chile, 1987. Flamenco dancer and choreographer based in Seville for over 18 years. She was part of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, Rafaela Carrasco's company, and David Coria's company, with whom she continues to collaborate on stage.

In 2021, she premiered her first solo project, Antípodas, at the 25th Jerez Festival, alongside singer-songwriter Isidora O'Ryan, under the direction of David Coria. The piece has since toured Spain, Europe, and the Americas, performing at venues such as the Théâtre National de la Danse Chaillot in Paris, and earned her the festival's Revelation Artist Award.

In 2024 she premiered her second show, On this day, in this world, at the XXIII Flamenco Biennial of Seville, combining her work as a performer and creator with various artistic projects.

Among her recent works, highlights include the co-direction of PARCAS. The voice, the eye, the flesh, together with Paula Comitre and Carmen Angulo, premiered on the Canal Baila program (September 2025), and the choreography of the opera Les Enfants Terribles for the 1st Seville Opera Festival.

Throughout her career she has been awarded the National Flamenco Prize in Cordoba (2019), the First Prize Soloist and the Carlota Santana New York Prize at the Madrid Choreographic Competition (2019) and the La Perla de Cádiz Prize (2015) movement, paying attention to the precision of the pulse, the spatiality and the rhythmic dramaturgy.

SYNOPSIS:

BETWEEN THE LINES (Another Listening) proposes an encounter between two bodies, a voice, and a cello to inhabit a territory where the boundaries between languages ​​blur. Starting from the roots of flamenco as a way of listening, breathing, and constructing time, the piece opens a dialogue with other soundscapes and physical expressions. Far from labels, dance and music meet in a common space where tradition and contemporary art coexist organically, revealing all that happens between a note and a gesture, between one body and another: what remains between the lines.
