OLD HOSPITAL OF SANTA MARÍA LA RICA
Contemporary dance. Body of Time

Directed by: Pau Arán Gimeno
Performers: Verónica Toro, Cristóbal Santa María and Darwin Elso
This project stems from the intimate experience of the aging body, not as a biological category, but as a sensitive, political, and affective territory. Through writing about tired legs, knees that warn of aging, and skin that sags, we have traced a bodily map where time ceases to be an abstraction and becomes texture, weight, memory, and decision.

  • Duration: 45 minutes

OLD HOSPITAL OF SANTA MARÍA LA RICA
XXXIII International Exhibition of Humor Arts: Fight against smoking

Smoking is one of the most harmful habits to health and, unfortunately, also one of the most widespread in the world. Despite repeated warnings from the scientific community and international organizations such as the World Health Organization about its effects, the tobacco industry continues to dedicate enormous resources to attracting new users through products disguised as harmless, such as filtered cigarettes in the past and, today, electronic cigarettes.
New ways of smoking, but the same harmful addiction. Therefore, in this edition we propose a challenge: to discover new ways to laugh at tobacco, many more than there are ways to consume it.

HERITAGE SCENE

COMEDY CORRAL.
IX HERITAGE STAGE FESTIVAL.
Cienfuegosdanza. Emigrants – Crazy

Three performers confront the fears, stereotypes, and inherited mandates that shape their identities. Together, they venture into new, unstable, and uncertain territories, reclaiming the freedom to be themselves and forging their own present, risking a debilitating and dangerous dehumanization. Gestural, choreographic, and textual language articulates this fraught journey of empowerment, where heritage weighs as heavily as the need to break free from it.

  • Date and time: September 11th, 19:30 p.m.
  • Duration: 30 minutes.
  • Free admission upon collection from the box office starting one hour before the performance. Maximum 2 tickets per person.

At the end of the performance, the documentary Dance Addicts (65 min), an intimate look at the creative process of the artists participating in Choreographic Residencies 2025, and the video art Interstice, cartography of the disarmed skin (8 min), a piece that explores the vulnerability and transformation of bodies through movement, will be screened.

COMEDY CORRAL.
IX HERITAGE STAGE FESTIVAL.
Cienfuegosdanza. Emigrants – The Moles

An intimate journey where the body is presented as mutable memory. The character moves from oppression to self-affirmation, finding a place of their own from which to exist, listen to themselves, and engage with their surroundings. On stage, word and movement form a single, indivisible discourse that reveals an authentic being, in process and without artifice.

  • Date and time: September 12th, 19:30 p.m.
  • Duration: 40 minutes.
  • Free admission upon collection from the box office starting one hour before the performance. Maximum 2 tickets per person.
