THE HERITAGE NIGHT, in its seventh edition, will once again be celebrated simultaneously in the 15 World Heritage Cities of Spain on September 14th.
This grand celebration of “living heritage” will be structured into several sections common to all 15 cities:
ABIERTO PATRIMONIO
From dusk until dawn, the most emblematic heritage and cultural spaces will open their doors to the public for free, allowing them to enjoy museums, palaces, churches, and other representative buildings outside their usual hours.
Among the more than 300 spaces that will open their doors are: the Cervantes Birthplace Museum in Alcalá de Henares; the Wall of Ávila; the Cerro del Alcázar in Baeza; the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Helga de Alvear in Cáceres; the archaeological site of Madinat al-Zahra in Córdoba; the
Casas Colgadas in Cuenca; the Museu d’Art Contemporani in Ibiza; the Museo Nacional de Arte Romano in Mérida; the Tower of the Catedral in Salamanca; the Ermita de Santo Domingo de Guzmán in San Cristóbal de La Laguna; visits within the Week of the Invisible Heritage in Santiago de Compostela; the Didactic Centre of the Jewish Quarter in Segovia; the Roman Praetorium and Circus in Tarragona; the Sinagoga del Tránsitoin Toledo; and the Sacra Capilla del Salvador in Úbeda.
Additionally, some establishments managed by PARADORES will offer guided and theatrical tours, gastronomic tastings, and musical performances.

THE HERITAGE NIGHT also celebrates the intangible heritage of our cities, offering a diverse cultural program.
Among the highlights are: concerts of the XXVI Festival Internacional de Plectro in Alcalá de Henares; an exhibition of the winning photographs of the Jornadas Medievales in Ávila; a show cooking of traditional dishes by Michelin-starred chefs in Baeza; “Cáceres en Ritmo: Young Talent in Music and Dance” in Cáceres; the theatrical animation “El sueño de Julio Romero” by Uno Teatro in Córdoba; artisan workshops with wooden and paper toys in Cuenca; heritage tours of Dalt Vila in Ibiza; the theatrical performance “Toda la luz del mediodía” by artist Julián Pacomio in Mérida; the pyrotechnic show “Salamanca: arte, saber y fuegos” in Salamanca; a Silbo Gomero workshop in San Cristóbal de La Laguna; an activity to be announced soon in Santiago de Compostela; the candle-lit illumination of the Garden and courtyard of the Casa Museo Antonio Machado in Segovia; “Mapping Tarraco,” an immersive experience interacting with the model of Tarraco and the ancient Roman vault in Tarragona; a concert in the Mezquita del Cristo de la Luz in Toledo; and an olive oil tasting and flamenco performance at the Centro de Interpretación “Olivar y Aceite” in Úbeda.
These activities reinforce the concept of “living heritage,” building bridges between history and the present, and between heritage and the inhabitants of each city.
ESCENA PATRIMONIO
In its seventh edition, the ESCENA PATRIMONIO dance festival will present 15 contemporary dance and live arts performances in significant heritage spaces of each city. This festival, supported by the Spanish National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), will feature exclusive creations by renowned national and international choreographers and dancers, with 7 world premieres in over 20 performances.
The creators and exceptional heritage spaces chosen as stages for this edition of HERITAGE SCENE include: the energy of young Canary Islands creator Richard Mascherin in the Corral de Alcalá (Alcalá de Henares); the itinerant project by Erick Jiménez and Maruxa Salas / SóLODOS Danza in the Muralla (Ávila); the rewriting of an emblematic piece by the Mal Pelo Company for the Ruinas de San Francisco (Baeza); Aurora Bauzà and Pere Jou in collaboration with the Beja Chamber Choir (Portugal) will explore the boundaries between sound, bodies, and movement in a heritage space (Cáceres); the fusion of flamenco and contemporary dance with the collaboration of two prominent current creators with very different roots, Yinka Esi Graves and Poliana Lima, in the Sala del Palacio de Orive (Córdoba); the scenic experience of the choreographer from Cuenca Roberto Olivan in collaboration with creators from Italy and Cuba in the Plaza Torre Mangana (Cuenca); Joaquín Collado will rethink ballroom dances through a participatory workshop in the Claustro del Ayuntamiento (Ibiza); Mario Bermúdez and Catherine Coury of the award-winning Andalusian company Marcat Dance will premiere their new creation, the result of seven years of joint trajectory, in the Templo de Diana (Mérida); the aesthetic pleasure of Taiat Dansa with an itinerant piece in the Plaza del Concilio de Trento, Iglesia de Los Dominicos (Salamanca); Kukai Dantza along with the musical genius from the Canary Islands Rogelio Botanz and local folklore groups will bring the traditions of the Basque Country and the Canary Islands to a contemporary art context in a city tour ending at the Plaza de Santo Domingo (San Cristóbal de La Laguna); the virtuosity of the renowned flamenco dancer Israel Galván in A Casa das Máquinas (Santiago de Compostela); the multidisciplinary collective creation by Adrián Vega and Adriano Galante in the Cárcel de Segovia (Segovia); the poetics of Mariona Jaume and Maya Triay in the Parc del Miracle (Tarragona); Sara Cano Dance Company revisits the concept of folklore and feminism through a contemporary lens in the Patio de la Universidad (Toledo); and the discipline and passion of the artist from Úbeda, Juan Berlanga, in his search for local myths and legends in the Plaza Vázquez de Molina (Úbeda).
The Heritage Night not only aims to open and showcase our heritage treasures but also to promote an accessible and inclusive event for everyone, with activities adapted for people with reduced mobility, sign language interpretation, and easy reading supports. Furthermore, it strives to be environmentally friendly, sustainably inhabiting the spaces and historical centers of our cities.

With these first steps we invite all citizens and visitors of the 15 cities to dance with us next September 14th in the street to the rhythm of interaction, creativity, discovery and approach to artistic creation for all audiences.
The free nature of all the activities allows us to bring the excellence and the cultural and patrimonial offer of our cities within everyone’s reach.
